Michael Bradley Thomas volunteered to serve in the United States Peace Corps and was assigned to the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific where he managed the Diversified Fruit Tree Development Project under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
Michael Bradley Thomas was born on August 31, 1965 and raised in Pennsylvania Dutch Country of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management from Virginia Tech in the fall of 1987. Following graduation he worked in the forestry industry for the Chesapeake Corporation in northern Virginia, Westvaco in Walterboro, South Carolina and Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Southampton, Pennsylvania. In the fall of 1989, he volunteered to serve in the United States Peace Corps and was assigned to the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific. From 1989 - 1993 he managed the Diversified Fruit Tree Development Project under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Following his Peace Corps experience he returned to the U.S. and enrolled at the University of Florida in the Horticultural Science Department. In December 1995, he received his Master of Science degree. He received a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Botany (ethnobotany) at the University of Florida in the summer of 2001. He is currently the co-founder and director of the Centre for International Ethnomedicinal Education and Research. His travels are extensive and include American Samoa, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Cook Islands, Czech Republic, Egypt, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Hawaii, Holland, Hungary, Jamaica, Kosovo, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain, St. Croix, St. Thomas, Switzerland, Thailand, Tonga, and Samoa.

Mikey, Hello, long time, not much communication, such is life I suppose.
We are now living in Bermuda for a while, it is Ok but not a patch on Tonga, asthetically speaking ( and everything else actually) too full of americans for my liking !!and too f'ing hot aswell.
