Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Almost fifty years ago (48) I was a volunteer. Then graduate school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. First job was in a suburb of Philadelphia teaching 5th grade. The following year I was hired by the Abington School District, Abington, North Campus, Pennsylvania. I taught a variety of history, government, anthropology courses for 25 years. I retired from teaching and moved to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida. After nine years in Florida I moved to the mountains at Asheville, N.C. I moved from Asheville in 2009 to Charlottesville, Virginia, where I am now living.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Those experiences were among the most wonderful of my life.
Any message for returned volunteers?:
Go for it. You will always prize this experience.
