The Bridge Year Senegal program is a 9-month service-focused program with seven participants. The students are all incoming Princeton students, aged 18-19, who apply and proceed through a rigorous selection process (through Princeton), to be awarded a tuition-free year of living abroad with a focus on community service and cultural immersion (with language study playing a key role in accomplishing these goals). As the Bridge Year Senegal On-SiteDirector, you'd be supported by a full-time On-Site Local Coordinator, seasonal Western Instructor Support, local language teachers and program staff, as well as the Dragons & Princeton Administrative offices for student group, programming, and incident management. The majority (7-months) of the program takes place in Dakar, Senegal - with some extended rural service projects and shorter weekend excursions.

Applicants should have a well-demonstrated dedication, passion, skill set and understanding of Senegal. We empower our OSD to use his/her own in-country resources, contacts, and relationships because we believe that it is the creativity and vision of our instructors that make Dragons programs the most unique and highest-quality learning experiences in the field of international experiential education. Dragons instructors set the industry standard: They are committed educators who are intent on facilitating the deepest of personal learning, reflection and growth through the most meaningful cross-cultural experiences.
