Work Description: Teacher, Art & English; Textbook illustrator

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Attended seminary 1 year (66-67), then served 4 years in DR Congo
(68-72) as designer, editor @ Editions Evangeliques, missionary publisher;
married Beth Burns in 1970; from 72-75 served as associate pastor,
Arlington, VA. From 75 to present, served with International Teams
(missionary org.), 22 years as graphics specialist, last 4 years as Advisor
for Europe. Earned MA in Communications, Wheaton College 1980. Have
two grown sons. Currently Senior Missions Mobilizer (recruiter) with
International Teams. Possibly traveling to Congo in Spring 2002 to assess
need for a team to help refugees.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

They were a wonderful part of my life, broadening my education and giving
me a new perspective on my own country. I developed my love for Africa
and Africans during my experience in Ethiopia. I also learned that I could
achieve far more than I had previously suspected.
