I've had many opportunties to talk to PCVs in the field who are starting out
or finishing up their service. My message to them is that Peace Corps has
changed your life and your way of looking at the world. Although your old
friends might not be able to underestand it, if you meet another RPCV, you
often have immediate rapport because you share this different, expanded
view of the world. My best friends for the past 25 years have been RPCVs.
