Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
It is the amature nature of the job that is unique and valuable because the volunteer is there as a resource with ideas and enthusiasm - not the outside "expert" who is above and apart. This has its negatives in terms of quick problem solving for the host country and area of work, but creates a need for colaboration that wouldn't otherwise exist.

We moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where (big families are the norm)and life has been very good to us. My wife Elizabeth (from Fiji) and I miss the excitement of living overseas and look forward to the next opportunity to take us there.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

The world and the Peace Corps has changed a great deal in the last 40 years, however I'm sure the richness of the experience is still as thrilling and memorable today as it was in my time.

Any message for returned volunteers?:

Keeping in touch with everyone was always difficult and I've lost touch with most if not all of my past RPCV's. However, with the Internet I can't beleive how easy it is and how I may once again be able to get back in touch with many of them. Thanks for the opportunity.
