Express, and that I'm a Morocco former Peace Corps
Volunteer and anthropologist who has written on
Morocco. On the site I described a tour that I led to
Morocco in 2000 for an alumni group during which we
met many local people. Well,I'm doing it again, from
May 25-June 6, 2002. I think it will be interesting
for anyone who wants to learn about Moroccan culture
"up close," either you or perhaps friends or
relatives. We will meet many Moroccans from all walks
of life on this unique trip. It is filled with
one-on-one encounters, home visits, and unusual
experiences not available to the general traveler.
My friend Joan Noble, with whom I've really enjoyed
leading tours before, will be our tour manager. She
has many years of experience traveling in Morocco with
alumni and museum groups; she's very organized and has
a great sense of humor, and I hope you get the chance
to travel with her too. We have been to Morocco many
times in the past and have always felt it was a safe
and hospitable country. I was there after 9/11 and
felt very comfortable, and am looking forward to going
back in May. (Not to mention that I'm writing this
from Morocco, where people are friendly and the spring
weather is great!)
The trip is May 25-June 6, 2002, so the lead time is
