Are there any options if you really don't want to go to your proposed region?

Peace Corps Online: Frequently Asked Questions: Are there any options if you really don't want to go to your proposed region?

I've been nominated for a region that is outside of the areas I requested. I was excited for being nominated but the more I research this region, the more I realize I do not want to go. I understand that it is difficult to get where you request but I would at least like to have some interest in my destination.

Is there any option available? Do we have to take the assignment offered or can we request a change, even if it means a delay in assignment?

You can refuse an assigment at least one time.
