Peace Corps Online: Frequently Asked Questions: Can I post excerpts from news articles on PCOL?

I read a letter in the Denver Post, today, which I would like to quote in a message I would like to post to pcol...if I credit the author and use quote marks, is that okay? Or, do I have to get permission from the Post or something? It is just a beautiful phrase...the letter is about patriotism, not the Peace Corps. Thank you.

Go ahead and post it or email it to us and we will post it. You do not need the author's permission to make this kind of post. It is considered "Fair Use" under the copyright laws.

Please let us know whenever you see an article that talks about the Peace Corps in your local newspaper.
