Tuesday, November 16: Special Event on November 16. Remember last year when the Maryland Returned Volunteers and the Shriver Center co-sponsored a special event at UMBC with former Peace Corps Director Jack Vaughn for a speech and reception. Mark you calendar for Tuesday, November 16 when once again, we will be co-sponsoring a special program with the Shriver Center at UMBC on the history of the Peace Corps. Our special guest will be Scott Stossel, author of "Sarge," the recently published biography of founding Peace Corps Director Sargent Shriver.

His book, "Sarge" which retails for $32.95, be available for purchase at the reception at cost for $15 or you may order an advance copy of the biography from Joby Taylor at 410-455-6398 so you can have a chance to read it before the event.

We'll be mailing out additional details about the November 16 event later this month. We're expecting a turn-out of several hundred RPCVs and students. Just as at the Vaughn event, advocacy tables will be available and Stossel will be on hand to sign copies of his book and answer questions. Contact Joby to reserve an advocacy table.

Don't miss this event on November 16 at 530 pm which promises to be one of the most important Peace Corps events of the year.
