The Nevada Commission for National and Community Service is looking for two people to serve as AmeriCorps VISTA members in the Reno-Lake Tahoe area. The project will build volunteer opportunities with local corporate volunteer programs and help to establish the United Way's 211 "give help, get help" initiative. It will also create service-learning opportunities for college students to build an ethic of service through college coursework. The members receive a small living stipend, health benefits, and an education award or cash bonus.
