I have found Corps Care to be worthless.Multinational Underwriters Inc. handles Corps Care claims. They have turned down almost every single claim I have submitted for me and my wife.Even a letter from the treating physician doesn't help. They have stopped responding to my inquiries. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Yea, get a lawyer and sue the Peace Corps for damages. They will continue to ignore you. Thousands of volunteers have been slighted by medical services, the Doctors they hire as contractors, the FECA Program which is now farmed out to an insurance company and the company they work with for medical and travel insurance.

Cliff, they will play hard ball. Play hard ball back. Get what you desrve. Don't waste your time calling them. The Bureaucracy is there to bury your claim. File a law suit on your own if you have to. Just file until they pay for your service related problems.

Call Congressman Henry Hydes office, he is in charge of Peace Corps budget in the International Relations Committee. Tell them.
Most other Congressmen won't help you.

Call the Dayton Daily News in Ohio and speak to the journalists who are writing about Peace Corps medical and safety issues.

Court is your best avenue. File in Federal Court. They will get the picture then. Don't waste your time. Believe me. Just file the law suit.

hey, I'm thinking about joining the peace corps,
but I have a thyroid problem (chronic) and require medication on a daily basis. do you think that the corps won't take care of my health needs? is the corps health insurance a big joke?
