I just recently completed my PC application and am awaiting the next step. While I do not have any actual health problems, I am about 60 pounds overweight. I'm not diabetic, do not have high blood pressure, and I am mobile -- so that's not the issue. I'm just wondering how strict the PC is when it comes to physical fitness. I have approximately one year until I will actually be going out of the States, so I have time to lose some of the weight -- but I just wanted to know if this is or isn't a serious matter.

Also, can anyone tell me what the 3 month training includes? Are expenses paid by the PC or by the volunteer? I'm trying to get an idea of how much all of this might initially cost me.

Thanks for any input!
