There is a mandated separation between the cia and peace corps so that PCVs can carry out their services in support of the PC mission without conflict of interest, with minimal suspicions that they are operatives, etc. This separation also supports the volunteers' safety and security and acceptance in their assigned countries. Therefore, the line of separation between intelligence activties and PC must be clear and distinct.
