Hi
I've been thinking about volunteering for a global organisation but I haven't made up my mind.
After the research I've done so far, the best options are the Peace Corps and Humana (www.humana.org).
Humana has the advantage of accepting all nationalities (I'm Portuguese) and it also includes a 4 month training.

My question is: Which global volunteering organisation is best? What are the advantages and disadvantages of Peace Corps?

I'd like an honest and constructive opinion, not one like "PC are the best!".

thank you for any help

miguel

Forget about my message. I've just read some articles that are available on the website and I've made up my mind: I'm not going to apply to the Peace Corps.

From what I've read, the PC volunteers are sent and ignored in a place where they can't even get their job done either because they don't have the resources, either because they are seen as a political instrument or because the locals don't even want them there. PC is too much of a mess, from what I've read.
