Carrboro, NC--October 17, 2005– Sustainable Harvest International, a non-profit organization focused on alleviating poverty and decreasing deforestation in Central America, is organizing an upcoming Small World Service Trip to Nicaragua December 28, 2005- January 6, 2006. Trip participants will have the opportunity to work on the construction of a gravity-feed water system for an impoverished rural school. Four trip participants are still needed. The cost for this trip is $1,300 per person. This total includes project materials and supplies, flights between Managua and Bluefields and all other in-country transportation, rustic accommodations with a host family at the work site and double occupancy hotel accommodations when we visit tourist areas, meals and guide / translation service. This total does not include airfare to Managua or any additional costs not mentioned. Upcoming trips are also planned for Panama, Honduras and Belize.
