Carrboro, NC--October 17, 2005– Sustainable Harvest International, a non-profit organization focused on alleviating poverty and decreasing deforestation in Central America, is organizing an upcoming Small World Service Trip to Nicaragua December 28, 2005- January 6, 2006. Trip participants will have the opportunity to work on the construction of a gravity-feed water system for an impoverished rural school.

Four trip participants are still needed.

The cost for this trip is $1,300 per person. This total includes project materials and supplies, flights between Managua and Bluefields and all other in-country transportation, rustic accommodations with a host family at the work site and double occupancy hotel accommodations when we visit tourist areas, meals and guide / translation service. This total does not include airfare to Managua or any additional costs not mentioned.

Upcoming trips are also planned for Panama, Honduras and Belize. Find out more about SHI and the Smaller World program on the web at www.sustainableharvest.org.
