Dear Friend,

1) Global Symposium — Second phase of registration opens! (Registration form attached)

We are pleased to inform you that 230 participants from 65 countries have confirmed their participation for the Global Symposium: 'Towards a New World Order' (www.cmseducation.org/symposium) taking place from 10-14 December 2005 at Lucknow, India.

Nobel Laureate Hon. Prof. Wangari Mathai has conveyed that she highly appreciates the spirit of the Global Symposium and is considering to inaugurate the Global Symposium.

As you might be aware that Global Symposium is inspired by the book "You can Change the World" by Prof Ervin Laszlo, Founder-President, Club of Budapest; the Symposium therefore provides a unique opportunity to clearly examine the causes behind the threats the planet is facing today – from global terrorism to global warming – in order to discover real solutions at all levels — social, scientific and spiritual.

We therefore cordially invite you to contribute your innovative ideas and experiences to articulate a vision for the future that recognizes the fundamental interdependence of humanity and suggests ways to move forward for a New World Order.

The online registration has closed on 15 September 2005 but we are still receiving requests for participation. Therefore, we have decided to keep the registration open through the attached registration form. Please send it to the email ids mentioned in the registration form. More details will be informed after receiving the registration form.

If you have already registered online on or before 15 September 2005, please do not

2) International Peace Museum — Contributions are welcome!

We invite your contributions by mail (post) — such as posters, brochures, reports, artistic work and presentations highlighting your organizations efforts to make our world a better place to live for all life on earth. All contributions will be acknowledged and displayed at the International Peace Museum at the venue of Global Symposium.

Please send your contributions by mail (post) to: Shishir Srivastava, Deputy Head, World Unity & Peace Education Department (WUPED), City Montessori School (CMS), 12 Station Road, Lucknow - 226001 INDIA, Tel: 0091-522-2637655

3) Spiritual Music Concert — a unique opportunity for music lovers!
If you or your organization would like to convey the message of global unity and world peace through music, you are cordially invited to the Spiritual Music Concert at the Global Symposium that aims to awaken the senses through musical notes. Please let us know what your group would like to perform - instrumental, solo singing, group singing, chanting or a dance performance along with your name, organization, country and email. Email to symposium@cmseducation.org

If you or your group cannot come here physically, please send your song / instrumental music in a DVD or CD with your name, address and email, so that we may play it during the Symposium (if program space permits) and acknowledge your contribution in the Symposium Background Reader.

Please send your contributions by mail (post) to: Shishir Srivastava, Deputy Head, World Unity & Peace Education Department (WUPED), City Montessori School (CMS), 12 Station Road, Lucknow - 226001 INDIA, Tel: 0091-522-2637655

4) World’s Children Appeal — to ensure their safe future and that of generations yet-to-be born.
Children from world over will present an appeal to the World Judiciary at the 6th International Conference of Chief Justices. This will be the most important and touching experience for all. Children are encouraged to prepare their appeal in their own words. Appeal should be limited to 250 words and two minutes per child. You are also invited to send a one or two member delegation of children between 8 to 17 years of age for the 6th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World and the Global Symposium. Children should arrive at Lucknow on or before 9th December 2005. There will be no registration fees for the children. Children coming from abroad will join students of CMS and will present an appeal to the World Judiciary asking them to ensure a safe nuclear-free future for them. CMS department of World Unity and Peace Education will organize this presentation. For more details email at symposium@cmseducation.org
