RPCV/Mali, 87-89, and former APCD/Admin in the Congo (BZV), Senegal and Mongolia Gary Vizzo, moi, has been involved this past year in a project for developing an up-to-date, comprehensive eGov directory for government Web sites and/or, when rated comprehensive and user-friendly, portals worldwide, including for those countries at times neglected by some resources.

The directory's available information has been complied via numerous Web resources, country communications and with human evaluation, laborious-but-educational effort, editing and verifying...use it in good health :) It can be accessed at www.eRepublic.org .

Related to this, a workspace page has just been started at www.omidyar.net/home to collect in at least one Web place practical internet tools for international development...add to the initial listing here of eRepublic.org any other practical resources and tools that may come to mind, not just general ones.

If eGovernment, with perhaps eDemocracy, is of interest to you, please know that www.DevelopmentGateway.org has a great flow of information in this area.

...by the way, in the unlikely event that you forget the name of eRepublic.org, do a Google search for egov directory or egov by country name and, at least presently, eRepublic.org arrives normally as your top offered resource.

Best,
Gary Vizzo
