Hi yall,
Yet another question from a current applicant to returned volunteers:

Did your two years in the PC make you feel differently about yourself and your capabilities professionally and personally?

I have many reasons for reactivating my application. But I must admit one of them is that I'm hoping serving my country and improving others' lives will help me feel better about myself.

Hmmm. It made me perhaps feel more confident in certain abilities but PC is not the place to changes one's personality. You take yourself with you and however you are now is how you'll be there in my opinion.

PC experiences can really vary. It profoundly affects ones life. I have some concerns regarding the expectation you will feel better about yourself. There is no guarantee of that.
