Hi, My name is Aaron Rosenstreich and although I have not served in the Peace Corps, my uncle did. His name is Aaron Lieb Rosenstreich and worked in Malaysia in either 1965, ´66 or ´67, I´m not sure which. He died in Vietnam in 1968, and I am searching for any information about my uncle; his life, his time in Malaysia or his friends. If anybody knew my uncle or has any sugestions about where I can search to find information about him, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am trying to find my friend Arun Rao who married returning PCV Erin (O'Brien, I think) in Singapore and returned to the USA in 1965. I believe Erin worked in Malaysia prior to returning to the USA. The last time I contacted my friend was in 1968 or 1969 when he was working in Chicago. Arun and I were college mates in Madras, India in the late 1950s.

I came across 11 letters that I received over 40 years ago from a peace corp volunteer who served in Bidor in Dec 1967 and Jan 1968. They are all addressed Dear Family and signed Love, Me. They were circulated amongst this person's friends. I remember that someone I went to school with went into the peace corp, and I remember receiving the letters. For the life of me, I can't put a name on this person. Can any one help me identify who served in Bidor during this time? The volunteer was a female. I would appreciate any information you can give me.

I am looking for Ms Joanne Clark. She taught at the then National Type Secondary School(English), Kuala Kubu Bharu from 1963 to 1964,teaching English and English literature. I was one of her ex-students. She was a very dedicated teacher and I really enjoyed attending her classes. Her hometown was in Portageville, Missouri. Upon returning to the States she wrote to me, telling me that she taught at an Indian Reservation and then moved on to Reverside in Calfornia. Recently, I wrote to her using her hometown address she gave me before living for home [(1964) i.e - Rt. 2, Portageville, Mo)]but
the letter was returned citing insuffient address as the reason. Anyone who knows her present whereabouts, kindly please pass this message to her or contact me at my E-mail address - email@example.com

Hi! I work at the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Peace Corps, we are collecting photos and stories about or by Peace Corps Volunteers in Malaysia. We hope to post these submissions to our official Embassy web page and Facebook web site and to produce a photo exhibit that can be displayed at venues throughout Malaysia the rest of this year. Any stories can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org

Way back in year 1968-1969, I was taught by a Peace Corps teacher by the name of Miss Patricia Peacock at a small coastal village by the name of BAKO, in Kuching Sarawak, Malaysia. I was in Primary 6 at the school thereat, and my name is Wahid Chee.

I am wishing to contact a US Peace Corp volunteer as I remember only as Patricia. She worked as a Science Teacher and other classes at the Clifford
Secondary School, Kuala Kangsar in 1964-1966.
I was in her class during the times.
She probably was still in Kuala Kangsar when the big flood happened in 1967'

This is a message for Aaron Rosenstreich whose uncle with the same name was in Malaysia as an APC. I was only 11 years old when I met your uncle. He used to worked in La Salle School, Klang, the state of Selangor,Malaysia. Personally I know him to be a kind and friendly person as he was living 2 doors away from our house in Eng Ann Estate. My brothers and I liked to visit and hang around his house after school. He shared the house with the school bus driver. Your uncle singlehandedly set up the industrial arts workshop which is still use to teach students woodworking, power mechanics, electricity and metal-works. We were sad when he was drafted to the US Army and sadder still when his parents inform the school of his demise. I hope this little information is of help to you.
