Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Neil Woolsey Jones can be contacted at cuervoneilayahoodcom
Country of Service: Thailand
Training Group: Thai VII, Malaria Eradication
Cities you served in: Lampang & Chachoengsao
Arrival Year: 1964
Departure Year: 1966
Work Description: I worked in the NMEP and spent most of my time in the jungle with spraymen and with house visitors. I loved the friendliness of the Thai people and was accepeted into their homes a complete stranger and a "farong" to boot.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I received my BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts where I studied painting. Later I did volunteer work at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco with pre and post op Liver Transplant Patients. And still much later at a local hospital with the same type of patients.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
A very good time in my life.
Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:
Anyone in Thai VII, especially Clay Nagao,
Any message for returned volunteers?:
Keep it up
