PC Volunteer in community development, construction. Worked at village and provincial level. Designed and helped build small dams, water systems, roads.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
After comleting Peace Corps, worked for Philco Ford USAID Thailand, then taught English and did some freelance writing for five years. My Thai wife and I, and by then our son, went to Iran five years, Saudi Arabia 19 years. I retired end of 1996, completed my MBA in information management in 2000. Founder NE Thailand's first local English language newspaper, the Korat Post.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Yes. Always learn how to read and write the language as much as possible. It helps a great deal to understand so much more.
