Peace Corps volunteers save 80% of international long distance phone call expense by using
international callback service to call family and friend in USA but enjoying US telecom
technology and connection. Visit BestCallback's website at
and find the rate to call US from Dominica is only 43¢. When you go to BestCallback, look
for the "Peace Corps Service" section to see some sample rates and then dig for the program
features and benefits.

Hi! My name is Suzanne Blackburn. I am an RPCV (Kenya, 1991-93)currently involved in early childhood education at Growing Places Enrichment Center in Dansville, NY. The founder of Growing Places has sponsored a child in Dominica for many years through the Christian Children's Fund. After visiting Dominica and meeting her "daughter," she established a "sister school" relationship with schools in Dominica. We would like to ship school supplies to Dominica and would rather send them with people traveling to Dominica rather than send them through the mail. If any RPCV's are in the process of planning a trip to Dominica and you are willing to take a box of school supplies over with you, please send me an e-mail message! Thanks and may peace be with you!!!

I'm a Dominican RPCV, also and have a friend who travels to DA a couple of times each year. She ships things for her friends and godchildren by barrels. I'll pass your email along to her and see if she can get involved. She has done quite a lot of research along the topic of Women in Development in DA and is still involved with adult education in Calibishie and other villages in the North.
I'd love to go back to DA and take along my family, but, alas $$$.
Good Luck.
