Paraguay RPCV Bruce McNamer, president and CEO of TechnoServe, will give a talk titled “Business Solutions to Poverty”
Before joining TechnoServe in 2004, McNamer was senior executive/founder for start-ups Verified Identity Pass (Clear ID), Appfluent Technology and Varsity Group. He was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and a management consultant at McKinley and Company. He also was a White House Fellow at the National Economic Council and a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay. McNamer earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a juris doctorate and master’s degree from Stanford University.

McNamer to speak on business solutions to poverty at Central
PELLA — Central College’s Mark and Kay De Cook Distinguished Speaker Bruce McNamer, president and CEO of TechnoServe, will give a talk tonight in Douwstra Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
His speech is titled “Business Solutions to Poverty.” This speaker is funded by the support of the Mark and Kay De Cook and Bruce and Sandy Heerema. The event is free and open to the public.
TechnoServe is a non-profit economic development organization that helps entrepreneurial persons to build businesses that provide jobs, income and economic opportunities. Before joining TechnoServe in 2004, McNamer was senior executive/founder for start-ups Verified Identity Pass (Clear ID), Appfluent Technology and Varsity Group.
