Peace Corps to participate in Romanian small business development

USAID to finance Romanian SMEs
Bucharest, June 3 (InvestRomania) – USAID will finance a five-year programme aimed to support the development of Romanian small and medium-sized companies, a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Romania showed. It said the programme worth USD 15.8 million aims to improve the business legal framework, the increase of Romanian SMEs competitivines and their ability to penetrate foreign markets. Another target fort the USAID programme is to attract foreign investors in Romania.
The statement said that the project is expected to create 70,000 new jobs in Romania. The programme manager will be Cooperative Housing Foundation. Other participants in the project are Booz Allen Hamilton, Shorebank Advisory Services, Citizens Development Corps, Peace Corps s,i Advocacy Academy.
