I have just watched the 48-Hour documentary on the murder of Deborah Gardner by Dennis Priven and researched further details on the subject. How Mary George and the Peace Corps members on the island who helped him after the murder can sleep well at night is beyond me. I hope they are satisfied that they helped him brutally murder a young girl and walk away a free man. Good job to all those involved, if you are happy with yourselves then God help you. I am glad this program has brought this affair to light after it had been swept under the carpet and that those involved with a conscience have felt embarrassed and ashamed of their part in this heinous crime and securing the liberty of a cold blooded killer. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the Gardner family and not the flakes at the Peace Corps then and even now. |
