Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Charles L Griffin Jr can be contacted at advaitinaearthlinkdnet
Country of Service: India
Training Group: 13
Cities you served in: Ludhiana and Nawanshahr, Punjab
Arrival Year: 1965
Departure Year: 1967
Work Description:
First goats, then chickens and a little civic improvement.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
It's been a interesting life, mostly in military circles--two marriages, the second to a nurse who joined the Air Force. I have three children and five grandchildren. I worked as a journalist much of the time. Now retired, I keep busy with photography.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Did I really use to bicycle 40 miles in Punjabi heat?! It all seems like a myth-hap to me.
Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:
Love to hear from anyone still breathing. <G>
Any message for returned volunteers?:
It won't be long before you'll think of going back--but it will have changed by then. Life never stands still except in memory.
