YMCA Travel Club's guest speakers discuss Nepal

The Whittier YMCA Travel Club's monthly meeting is slated at 10 a.m. Monday at the YMCA, 12510 Hadley St.
Guest speakers Ron Ranson Jr. and his wife, Nicola, will present a digital slide show of their recent trip to the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal.
Ron was a Peace Corps English teacher in Nepal from 1964 to 1966.
The program will highlight the strenuous trek into the mountains, the birthplace of Buddha, a return to Ron's Peace Corps post and a very unusual location for their stay in Katmandu, the nation's capital.
The community is welcome to attend the free event and refreshments will be available.
