IN APPRECIATION OF SARGENT SHRIVER AND EUNICE KENNEDY SHRIVER'S LIFETIME LEGACY OF SERVICE

Dear RPCVs,

On October 23, Saturday, The Eunice Kennedy Shriver Challenge will be held at The Washington Monument. This is a competitive event that supports Best Buddies and Special Olympics and commemorates the lifetime legacy of service of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Sargent Shriver. I am raising funds for these amazing organizations by bicycling 20 miles in TEAM SARGE in appreciation of Sargent Shriver's lifetime legacy of service while honoring his wife Eunice. The Experiment in International Living (EIL)/World Learning Sarge was an Experimenter in the 1930's three times (to France, Germany and Austria) The Peace Corps Sarge was the first Peace Corps Director; he hired The Experiment to train the first Peace Corps volunteers in the 1960s. Office of Economic Opportunity/War on Poverty Sarge started VISTA, Legal Aid for the Poor, Headstart, Job Corps, Foster Grandparents, Community Action,

.. Special Olympics Sarge was Chairperson of the Board and immensely globally expanded its reach. Any amount you contribute is greatly appreciated. No contribution is too small.
