Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
One of the greatest experiences of my life. The grass roots community economic development techniques I honed during my Peace Corps service have served me well over the past ten years. Since my COS, I've worked in state government, abroad for a USAID-funded international organization fostering the creation of democratic institutions in Georgia (former Soviet Union) and spearheaded initiatives for an international organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through the provision of microfinance instruments. In many ways, my experiences over 2+ years as a PCV have had an everlasting impact on my approach to community development and further increased my interests in other languages and cultures.
