After I got back to the US in '99 I spent 4 months caring for my elderly grandmother. Then got a job doing air quality with a Denver area County Health Department. I had a baby, Ronin, who is now 3 years old! got married, my husband is Maury Thibodeau. Now I've quit my job and am in Grad School at UCHSC in Denver studying public health.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

It was hell at times, but I would not change a thing. I'm so glad I stuck it out til the very end; the lessons I learned, some, didn't come til the very end, in fact I'm still learning from that experience.

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

I miss everyone! I've never met so many wonderful people.

Any message for returned volunteers?:

When I arrived home at the airport in Denver, and came through customs, the customs agent looked at my pasport and asked me if I was coming home. I said yes, and he smile and said, "welcome home.' I felt like I was getting that welcome/thank you that you always see for the military troops.
