I am a Nepal-RPCV and Nepal is experiencing civil strife. Myself along with other RPCV's, etc are interested in knowing what you may have done or are doing in assisting to end or reduce civil strife in Liberia.

Look at the site for Friends of Liberia to see what a group, begun as an RPCV group, has done and is doing.

Country of Service: Liberia
Training Group: There was training?
Cities you served in: Greenville
Arrival Year: 1985
Departure Year: 1987
Work Description: Primary Health Care Training & Supervision; Community Mobilization
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
After I returned to the States and got my Masters in Public Health in 1989, I went back to work in Africa as a health educator. I worked and lived in Ghana, Egypt, Gambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and few other places. My specialty was family planning and prevention of AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases.
After Africa, I moved to Bangladesh, where I spent another three years there working in both agricultural development and AIDS prevention. I also worked and travelled in Cambodia, Thailand, India, and Nepal.
I moved back to the United States about five years ago, and have been working in social marketing and online health education programs. Outside of work, I study martial arts, and volunteer as a Web designer for nonprofit organizations. I have been a husband for 13 years, a father for 12 years, and an adoptive parent to a 5 year-old girl from China for year.
Still remember the words to "On the Edge of Liberia", and have a few photos from training, if anyone wants to share.
Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:
