Madison native David Paradis is a Peace Corps volunteer working at Hope Destitute Children’s Center, a charity organization in Masaka, Uganda
After almost a year of working with the children, David has committed himself to initiating and building a bakery in order to supply food and income for the center. Knowing that Paradis is running a half marathon in Uganda, his family and friends decided to run with him back home in Madison. Equipped with headlamps and reflective gear, approximately 30 runners and volunteers came out to support the first annual Run for Hope last weekend, raising approximately $800 for the cause.
