"I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Iran from 1970-1972. I worked as a professional librarian assigned to Tehran University's Faculty of Law & Political Science, Central Library & Documentation Centre, and the Jordan Library of the of the Tehran Polytechnic. It was named after Dr. Jordan, an American educator in Iran during the 1930s. In 1980, I corresponded with Amb. L. Bruce Laingen during the Iran Hostage Crisis. He was a hostage in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and could correspond. These facsimilie copies of the autographed letters are located in the Manuscript Division of the Library of Congress. "

I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Iran from 1970-1972.
