In a race that wasn't much of a surprise, Congressman James Walsh rolled to victory. He defeated Howie Hawkins with 90% of the vote.
Walsh says not having a major party opponent was somewhat different than in year's past, but a lot less stressful.
"It was a lot less stress believe me, and uh, we worked hard we ran our regular campaign, we did newspaper, TV advertising, had debates everything, again it was less stress, we felt pretty confident all along,” said Walsh.
In a race that wasn't much of a surprise, Congressman James Walsh rolled to victory. He defeated Howie Hawkins with 90% of the vote.
Walsh says his senior position in Congress will continue to be beneficial to Central New York.
