Obituary for Papua New Guinea RPCV Eva Carrol Leslie Robertson
Eva was a fine seamstress and created many beautiful afghans and quilts. A second hobby was tole and oil painting. Eva was gifted at making things more beautiful than she found them. She and her husband served over two years in the US Peace Corps in Papua New Guinea. Her project of rescuing a failing artifact business was featured during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Peace Corps.

Eva Carrol Leslie Robertson, 75, of Washington, Utah passed away June 16, 2009 after a sudden illness. She died peacefully in the hospital while family members comforted her.

Eva was born in Springville, UT and attended schools there as well as various courses at BYU. She was an officer in the Lady Elks in Jefferson City, Missouri and in earlier years, she was active in the Lady Rotarians and Mapleton Jaycees.
She married Lee A. Robertson in Las Vegas, Nevada, creating a union that lasted more than fifty-six years.
Among Mrs. Robertson's achievements was her nomination of Utah State Employee of the Year in 1969 while employed at Job Services in Provo. She was also private secretary to the State Insurance Commissioner at the Utah State Capitol.

Eva is survived by her husband, Lee, and four living children; Anthony Lee Robertson and Lisa White of Denver, CO, Valerie Robertson of Jefferson City, MO and Jesse Robertson of Salt Lake City, UT. A second son, John, preceded her in death.
The family is planning a private service.
