Morocco RPCVs Jessica Morrison, Anne Richardson to marry

While serving as Peace Corps volunteers in Morocco, they met one weekend in Marrakech. Beforehand, all of their friends were convinced they'd hit it off. "Despite the fact that she had been traveling for 12 hours on a dirty souk bus," Jess says, "I remember thinking, 'Wow, she is a lot more beautiful than I had expected.'" Anne says, "I had no intention of entering into a relationship during my time in the Peace Corps, but when I saw her for the first time I knew that I was in trouble."

Jessica Morrison, Anne RichardsonJessica, 26, is a research assistant. Anne, 42, is a grad student. They live in Washington.

The Main Event: On Aug. 22, 100 friends and family members will witness their commitment ceremony in Decatur, Ga.

Honeymoon: Puerto Rico.

How They Met: While serving as Peace Corps volunteers in Morocco, they met one weekend in Marrakech. Beforehand, all of their friends were convinced they'd hit it off.

First Impressions: "Despite the fact that she had been traveling for 12 hours on a dirty souk bus," Jess says, "I remember thinking, 'Wow, she is a lot more beautiful than I had expected.'" Anne says, "I had no intention of entering into a relationship during my time in the Peace Corps, but when I saw her for the first time I knew that I was in trouble."

First Date: Jess rode a bus eight hours from her village to Anne's site; Anne made Jess a beautiful meal and they stayed up talking until late at night.

How She Proposed: The day after Christmas, Jess, who had planned to wait until New Year's, could wait no more and popped the question.

Most Hated Clothing Item: Anne: "Every pair of Jess' sunglasses."

Their Song: Jason Mraz's "After an Afternoon."

Stupidest Fight: When they came back from dinner and found that Anne's cat had somehow managed to lock them out of their apartment.
