Read and comment on this email we received from the NPCA Group Leader's listserv asking for comments and suggestions for the draft agenda for the Presidents Forum 2003 in Portland Oregon on Saturday, August 2. This is a good idea because it lets everybody have a chance to have input into the Agenda before the meeting.
We also applaud the NPCA's decision to allow two hours for the President's Forum from 9 to 11am on August 2, one hour for the Annual General Meeting from 11 am to noon, and another hour for the President's Forum from 915 am to 1015 am on August 3. At the previous President's Forum at the 40th plus one, the President's Forum and the Annual General Meeting were together given two hours (10 am to noon on Saturday, June 22) and many participants at the meeting thought they really didn't have enough time to thoroughly discuss all the issues that had been raised.
One other thing that would improve the President's Forum would be to email out the minutes from the President's Forum right after the meeting is held. That way Group Leaders could review the minutes while they are still fresh in people's minds. There is no reason for Group Leaders to have to wait until August 2, 2003 to see the minutes from the previous President's Forum held on June 22, 2002.
See you in Portland for what looks like a terrific opportunity to connect with RPCVs, to see the Peace Corps Museum, and to meet the new President - word from "Down Under" is that the NPCA is very "Close" to making an announcement. Read the email at:

Hello Group Leaders!
We are fast approaching Presidents Forum 2003, which will be held in Portland on Saturday, August 2. In order to have a meeting that will both be beneficial to all the participants and that will help guide future NPCA policy, I'd like to ask that you provide comments/suggestions on the attached draft agenda (also pasted below).
Send me your comments by no later than Wednesday, July 9. I will then turn around a final draft for your approval a week thereafter. This is your last chance to provide significant input to the agenda.
Please send your comments to my personal email (joelinshaw@aol.com). You can also reach me on my cell phone, if you'd like to talk about the agenda and/or the Presidents Forum, at 202-277-8905.
