Ralph Hastings Hobart, 60, of Barrington, died Wednesday, May 17 at his home. Yale University '66. Peace Corps, Tunisia '67-'69. U.S. Army, Republic of Vietnam '70.

Hobart founded the Elk Grove Village printing company SOS/Sets or Singles where he served as President/Owner. Mr. Hobart leaves his wife of 31 years, Tamie, nee Goto, Hobart; his children, Robin and Holly; his grandchildren, Haven and Gage; his mother and father, John and Mary Hobart; his sisters, Virginia Hobart Campbell and Mimi Hobart Petke; and his brothers, John Jr. and Ernest. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the Service at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 22 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 West Main Street, Barrington, IL. Private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010 or to the American Cancer Society, 100 W.
