Gunmen fire on Peace Corps Office in San Salvadore
No one was hurt in the attack on the Peace Corps office, according to witnesses. Police and other authorities, including US officials, said they had no immediate information on the attack. "We were working at a conference table when we heard what was definitely gunshots," said Leticia Diaz, the director of the Peace Corps contingent in this country. She said the shooting came in three short bursts. She said national guard soldiers posted inside the building returned the fire.

San Salvadore, El Salvador - Unidentified gunmen opened fire Saturday on the American Peace Corps ffocie here while thousands of Roman Catholic faithful gathered from all over the country to mourn the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero.
No one was hurt in the attack on the Peace Corps office, according to witnesses.
