NPCA to hold first Virtual Leaders Forum on July 29
NPCA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), Group Leaders Forum (GLF), and Board Meeting have been scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2005 in Washington, D.C. All meetings will be held in Dupont Circle at 1875 Connecticut Avenue in the Universal North building, Greeley Room (3rd Floor).
Please check www.rpcv.org for future updates to this schedule, along with hotel recommendations and other useful information. The AGM is scheduled for 10:45-11:45, and the Board Meeting is slated for 12-5 PM (on the 9th Floor). NPCA’s Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill will take place Thursday, July 28.
For those of you who will be staying through the weekend, NPCA will be offering several informational and/or action opportunities on Saturday morning, July 30.
Previously, I reported in the April listserv announcement that the GLF is scheduled to take place from 8:30-10:30 AM. However, I realize that this could be expensive and time-consuming for group leaders to attend. Thus, NPCA is pleased to announce plans for an expanded, half-day “Virtual Group Leaders Forum” and every group leader is invited – at no cost – to join either in-person or via web conference or teleconference with an 800 number bridge line. In other words, it will only require your time! You don’t need to travel to DC to participate in this year’s GLF. More details to come, but please save the date!
With that said, we need to collectively choose our highest priority agenda items for this virtual forum. I am hoping that you will notify me ASAP about your group’s top 3 discussion items at stephanie@rpcv.org.
Also, let me know if your group is planning meetings and/or events during this weekend. We will gladly post your events to the NPCA membership-at-large.

| Friends of the Peace Corps 170,000 strong 170,000 is a very special number for the RPCV community - it's the number of Volunteers who have served in the Peace Corps since 1961. It's also a number that is very special to us because March is the first month since our founding in January, 2001 that our readership has exceeded 170,000. And while we know that not everyone who comes to this site is an RPCV, they are all "Friends of the Peace Corps." Thanks everybody for making PCOL your source of news for the Returned Volunteer community. |
