December 3, 2004: PCOL Exclusive: Peace Corps Press Office says "no comment" on rumors of Director Vasquez leaving

Peace Corps Online: Peace Corps News: Special Reports: December 3, 2004: Is Gaddi Leaving?: December 3, 2004: PCOL Exclusive: Peace Corps Press Office says "no comment" on rumors of Director Vasquez leaving
Is Gaddi Leaving? Is Gaddi Leaving?
Rumors are swirling that Peace Corps Director Vasquez may be leaving the administration. We think Director Vasquez has been doing a good job and if he decides to stay to the end of the administration, he could possibly have the same sort of impact as a Loret Ruppe Miller. If Vasquez has decided to leave, then Bob Taft, Peter McPherson, Chris Shays, or Jody Olsen would be good candidates to run the agency. Latest: For the record, Peace Corps has no comment on the rumors.

In a conversation with Barbara Daly of the Peace Corps Press Office today, Daly had "no comment" concerning rumors that Director Gaddi Vasquez may be leaving the Peace Corps.

She did not issue a flat denial that the rumor is untrue.

For the moment, we will wait and see what develops.

Vasquez should resign immediately. The Peace Corps will be much better off when he and his arrogant, insensitive staff are gone.

I was a volunteer in 95 in Zambia, my 10 weeks of school were hell because a director of the school was from the south and did not like my old Yankee butt, he told me to quit every time we meet. I did no so he wrote up a profile stating I was a bad risk for the peace corps, and it stuck to me all through the 8 mounts until I was injured and had to go home, In shame, my reputation was tarnished, I have a dozen letter fro people in my catchments area saying how bad they felt. A number of problems came up because of my bad record written by a discriminating person caused the effect of a “Red headed step child”
MY injuries put me in to the DOL and I have been filing claims for 13 years with out any success, all my doctors say medical end will not recover. I cant afforded a lawyer I am
With out funds, have watched my life go bad in 13 years with no help from Peace Corps no respect for a volunteer
