December 3, 2004: PCOL Exclusive: Peace Corps Press Office says "no comment" on rumors of Director Vasquez leaving
 | Is Gaddi Leaving? Rumors are swirling that Peace Corps Director Vasquez may be leaving the administration. We think Director Vasquez has been doing a good job and if he decides to stay to the end of the administration, he could possibly have the same sort of impact as a Loret Ruppe Miller. If Vasquez has decided to leave, then Bob Taft, Peter McPherson, Chris Shays, or Jody Olsen would be good candidates to run the agency. Latest: For the record, Peace Corps has no comment on the rumors. |

Vasquez should resign immediately. The Peace Corps will be much better off when he and his arrogant, insensitive staff are gone.
I was a volunteer in 95 in Zambia, my 10 weeks of school were hell because a director of the school was from the south and did not like my old Yankee butt, he told me to quit every time we meet. I did no so he wrote up a profile stating I was a bad risk for the peace corps, and it stuck to me all through the 8 mounts until I was injured and had to go home, In shame, my reputation was tarnished, I have a dozen letter fro people in my catchments area saying how bad they felt. A number of problems came up because of my bad record written by a discriminating person caused the effect of a “Red headed step child”
MY injuries put me in to the DOL and I have been filing claims for 13 years with out any success, all my doctors say medical end will not recover. I cant afforded a lawyer I am
With out funds, have watched my life go bad in 13 years with no help from Peace Corps no respect for a volunteer
