RPCV Fran Spadafora Manzella appointed administrative director of Finger Lakes School of Massage (FSLM)
The Finger Lakes School of Massage (FSLM) welcomes Fran Spadafora Manzella, MS, LMSW, as administrative director. Manzella brings with her more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and leadership in the human services field.
A former COO of Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services and a Peace Corps volunteer, she will be supporting the administrative team and overseeing the school's day-to-day business operations. As co-director, Manzella will work closely with Education Director Corinne Eisenman, MS, LMT, a graduate of FLSM, who joined the staff in February.
Co-Directors oversee FLSM's popular 6-month, full-time certification program, as well as the new part-time program set to offer its first class on March 3, 2006. Both directors share a belief in innovative education and a commitment to the field of holistic health care.
The addition of Manzella to the staff is the final step in the leadership evolution of FLSM since founders Cindy Black and Andrea Butje sold the school in 2003 to Chicago-based owners David Merwin and John Robinson.
With the two co-directors in place, long-time staff member and outgoing Co-Director Shirley Adams will transition to overseeing the new, 17-month part-time program.

| Friends of the Peace Corps 170,000 strong 170,000 is a very special number for the RPCV community - it's the number of Volunteers who have served in the Peace Corps since 1961. It's also a number that is very special to us because March is the first month since our founding in January, 2001 that our readership has exceeded 170,000. And while we know that not everyone who comes to this site is an RPCV, they are all "Friends of the Peace Corps." Thanks everybody for making PCOL your source of news for the Returned Volunteer community. |
